Hello and welcome to Daily Yogi!

Every day, we have a new suggestion for a positive action to make ourselves and/or the world a better place. We draw our Daily Yogi practices from Ashtanga, or the 8 Limbs of Yoga.

PS our groups section is still currently growing – We have the most interaction currently with our instagram where we have 2x daily posts and reminders for our Yogis around the world. Or, maybe you would rather start at the beginning with an introduction to the 8 Limbs of Yoga, and our new beginnings practices like journaling to study your progress, or making a daily commitment you have always wanted to incorporate into your life.

January 2022 30 Day Challenge: Yoga Philosophy: Day 18 – Asanas (Poses): Sun Salutations – Anjaneyasana & Parivrtta Anjaneyasana

For today’s practice, we are continuing our breakdown of each pose in Sun Salutations! New Yogis are learning High and Low Lunge and modified Sun Salutations with three variations of this Asana.

Daily Yogis are revisiting Anjaneyasana or the twisted lunges. PS I often practice my Sun Salutations with Ashta Chandrasana / High Lunge so I can practice quickly in the AM without a mat if needed.

January 2022 30 Day Challenge: Yoga Philosophy: Aquarius Season – Navasana (Boat Pose)

Today we are pausing our breakdown of each pose in Sun Salutations! New Yogis are learning Sitali Pranayama, a cooling breath great for summer!

Daily Yogis have a choice between this cooling breath, a warming breath, or Boat Pose or Navasana for the start of Aquarius Season! See full posts for instructions!

For Tuesday’s practice, we are continuing our breakdown of each pose in Sun Salutations! New Yogis are learning Uttanasana / Standing Forward Bend and modified Sun Salutations with three variations of this Asana.

Daily Yogis are revisiting Uttanasana or the twisted version of this pose – Parivrtta Uttanasana.

Happy Monday! We are continuining our breakdown of each pose in Sun Salutations! New Yogis are learning Talasana / Palm Tree Pose and modified Sun Salutations focused on chest opening. Daily Yogis are revisiting Talasana or another arboreal Asana – Vrksasana / Tree Pose.
