Hello and welcome to Daily Yogi!

Every day, we have a new suggestion for a positive action to make ourselves and/or the world a better place. We draw our Daily Yogi practices from Ashtanga, or the 8 Limbs of Yoga.

You can dive in and join the community with our current daily Ashtanga inspired positive practices or check out the members’ area for special interest groups and challenges. Or, maybe you would rather start at the beginning with an introduction to the 8 Limbs of Yoga, and our new beginnings practices like journaling to study your progress, or making a daily commitment you have always wanted to incorporate into your life.

Satya – Truthfulness – Day 7

Today Is Satya Day! We are actively exercising Satya or Truthfulness with ourselves.

We have a bonus daily meditation challenge for October – today is a self-reflective guided meditation that may help you uncover truths for Satya Day. This is one of my favorites!

Ahimsa – Non-Harming – Day 7

We are restarting our cycle through the Yoga Sutras with the Yamas. Today we are actively exercising Ahimsa or Non-Violence. This can be with thoughts, words, or actions.

We have a bonus daily meditation challenge for October – today is a guided meditation on non-violence for Ahimsa Day.

Upper 4 Limbs of Yoga – Day 8 – Dhyana – Full Meditation

Today we are discussing and trying out Dhyana (full meditation)! You can try this with our breath focused meditation, and then allowing your mind to quiet, or a guided meditation to help bring this state. Please see full post for more info and links to a recommended guided meditation!
