Happy Friday Yogis! Today we are trying out a Dharana (intense focus) practice – Mandalas! Most meditative practices are forms of Dharana, the 6th Limb of Yoga.

Thursday is Pranayama Day! This is our last Pranayama Day for our special bonus meditation challenge month, so today we will cover a meditative Pranayama practice – Nadi Shodhana.
We will start with Diaphragmatic Breath, and move on to Yogic Breath. Please read full post for instructions! We recommend incorporating this technique into your meditation practice.
We have a bonus daily meditation challenge for October – today I recommend trying our breath focused meditation with today’s Yogic Breath.

We have reached the 3rd Limb of Yoga, it is Asana Day! Today we are learning about and practicing my favorite hip opener – Supta Kapotasana or Reclined Pigeon Pose!

Today is Ishvara Pranidhana / Surrender day! This is the most difficult of the Niyamas to understand and practice, but one of the most rewarding. We are working on practicing acceptance in a difficult situation.
