Hello and welcome to Daily Yogi!

Every day, we have a new suggestion for a positive action to make ourselves and/or the world a better place. We draw our Daily Yogi practices from Ashtanga, or the 8 Limbs of Yoga.

You can dive in and join the community with our current daily Ashtanga inspired positive practices or check out the members’ area for special interest groups and challenges. PS our groups section is still currently growing – We have the most interaction currently with our instagram where we have 2x daily posts and reminders for our Yogis around the world. Or, maybe you would rather start at the beginning with an introduction to the 8 Limbs of Yoga, and our new beginnings practices like journaling to study your progress, or making a daily commitment you have always wanted to incorporate into your life.

May 2022 Yoga Challenge: Asanas (Poses): Sun Salutations – Chaturanga Dandasana & Dandasana

We are continuing this morning with our breakdown of each pose in Sun Salutations!

We are working on Plank or Phalakasana, and modified Sun Salutations progressing from Ashtanga Namaskara / Knees-Chest-Chin to Chaturanga Dandasana / 4-Limbed Staff Pose to build arm strength.

Daily Yogis are trying the Yoga Workout for Chaturanga for arms, or for Glutes from the twisted/sister pose Dandasana or Staff Pose.

Gemini Season 2022 – Partner Yoga & Temple Pose

Today we are pausing our breakdown of each pose in Sun Salutations! New Yogis are learning Sitali Pranayama, a cooling breath great for summer!

Daily Yogis have a choice between this cooling breath, a warming breath, or Temple Pose, or Partner Yoga for the start of Gemini Season! See full posts for instructions!

May 2022 Yoga Challenge: Asanas (Poses): Sun Salutations – Phalakasana & Purvottanasana

We are continuing with our breakdown of each pose in Sun Salutations!

We are working on Plank or Phalakasana, and modified Sun Salutations with progressively challenging variations of Plank to build arm strength.

Daily Yogis are trying the Yoga Workout for Phalakasana for arms, or for Glutes using Purvottasana or Upward Plank.

May 2022 Yoga Challenge: Asanas (Poses): Sun Salutations – Anjaneyasana & Parivrtta Anjaneyasana

For today’s practice, we are continuing our breakdown of each pose in Sun Salutations! New Yogis are learning High and Low Lunge and modified Sun Salutations with three variations of this Asana.

Daily Yogis are revisiting Anjaneyasana or the twisted lunges. PS I often practice my Sun Salutations with Ashta Chandrasana / High Lunge so I can practice quickly in the AM without a mat if needed.
