Every day, we have a new suggestion for a positive action to make ourselves and/or the world a better place. We draw our Daily Yogi practices from Ashtanga, or the 8 Limbs of Yoga.

You can dive in and join the community with our current daily Ashtanga inspired positive practices or check out the members’ area for special interest groups and challenges. PS our groups section is still currently growing – We have the most interaction currently with our instagram where we have 2x daily posts and reminders for our Yogis around the world. Or, maybe you would rather start at the beginning with an introduction to the 8 Limbs of Yoga, and our new beginnings practices like journaling to study your progress, or making a daily commitment you have always wanted to incorporate into your life.

September 2022: Upper 4 Limbs of Yoga – Dharana (Intense Focus): Guided Meditations & Meditative Practices

Today we are discussing and trying out Dharana (intense focus)! Most meditative practices are Dharana. You can try this with our breath focused meditation, body scanning in Shavasana / corpse pose after an Asana practice, a meditative hike or drive, with a guided meditation, mandalas, flame gazing, or on your own.. whatever feels right to you!

Today we are revisiting the 5th Limb of Yoga – Pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses)! You can try this with Shavasana / corpse pose after an Asana practice, with a guided meditation, or on your own.. whatever feels right to you!

September 2022: Pranayama (Breathing) – Bhastrika Pranayama (Bellows Breath)

Today is Pranayama Day! We celebrated the first day of fall last week, and the days are getting shorter and cooler, so we are revisiting a warming Pranayama technique.

We will start with Diaphragmatic Breath, and move on to Bellows Breath. This is a great warming Pranayama for first thing in the morning, or when you need an energy boost during the day! Please read full post for instructions!

September 2022: Asanas (Poses) – YogaFit Day & Family Health & Fitness Day: Family & Kids Yoga

Today is YogaFit Day and this weekend was Family Health and Fitness Day! It is also Asana Day on our cycle through the limbs of Yoga. Today rather than breaking down a particular pose, let’s break a sweat for Family Health and Fitness Day with an Asana series! We are also sharing some nutrition info, to help cover the Health part of today’s Health and Fitness Day.
